What to Expect at a Sports Chiropractor

 Are you considering sports chiropractic?

Don’t know what to expect?

sports chiropractor

Here are some answers to our frequently asked questions:

What will my first visit look like?

Your first visit will take about an hour. You’ll receive a thorough examination, including a surface EMG scan, to determine where your body is malfunctioning and requires treatment. Then you’ll receive your first Activator adjustment to begin the healing process. If you are in acute pain, Dr. Thatcher may also recommend you receive laser treatment. This is completely painless and helps to quickly reduce inflammation and stimulate healing.

Do I have to keep coming back?

Only if you want to! We’re going to get you feeling better as quickly as possible. Once you’re there, if you want to return periodically to stay well, we recommend it. Dr. Thatcher will help you discover the best frequency for your body.

When will I see results?

That depends on your level of pain, age, and health. Some patients see results within a few visits while it may take longer for others.

How Can a Sports Chiropractor Help You?

Have you suffered a sports injury?

Not sure how to get relief?

Many of our patients believed their pain was a burden they had to shoulder alone; something they just had to accept. Treatment with Dr. Thatcher solved their pain and gave them their lives back.

Let us restore your hope! We’ve treated runners, swimmers, and bikers just like you. It’s our mission to relieve your pain and get you back to doing the activities you love. Common sport injuries we treat include:

  • sprains
  • runner’s hip
  • shin splints
  • tennis elbow
  • knee pain

We offer high-tech chiropractic which utilizes a hand-held adjustment instrument called an Activator to administer the treatment and promote healing in your body. When your body is properly aligned, you’ll move better and distribute stress on your muscles and joints more evenly, reducing the chance of injury.

Many of our patients felt relief within a few sessions and were able to get back to exercising. Wouldn’t you like to release your tension and pain, and gain greater mobility, flexibility, and range of motion?
